Fairy Cove is my personal favorite spot in Wilsons Promontory National Park. It’s a bit of a hidden gem and takes a bit of effort to get to, so you can dodge the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet. This secluded spot offers a beautiful escape for those willing to venture off the beaten path.

The trail to Fairy Cove is a 5.5-kilometer out-and-back route that’s moderately challenging, taking you through coastal heath and small hills. As you hike, you’ll pass through a mix of rugged terrain and lush greenery. At the start of the track, keep an eye out for a killer view of the mountain and river; if you peek through the gaps in the trees and bushes, you’ll find a stunning shot, it's the sixth pic in this destination’s collection. As you get further along the trail at the top of the hills you get incredible views of the beaches below with the water vibrant and blue shinning back at you.

When you finally reach Fairy Cove, you’ll be treated to a gorgeous rocky beach and crystal-clear waters. The cove’s remote vibe makes it perfect for chilling out and soaking in the natural beauty. It’s a great spot for a peaceful picnic or just to relax and enjoy the scenery. I visited twice and had different tide levels each time. At low tide, I could walk around and explore each of the coves, which was such a vibe.
