Lawn Hill in Queensland is a lush destination in the outback that promises breathtaking landscapes and a genuine sense of adventure. The highlight here is Lawn Hill Gorge, where you'll be captivated by striking cliffs and vibrant emerald-green waters. It's an ideal spot for kayaking, swimming, or just soaking in the sheer beauty of the natural surroundings. Don't forget to keep an eye out for the colorful birdlife and take a moment to appreciate the significance of this special place to the Waanyi Aboriginal people.

Boodjamulla National Park offers fantastic trails like the Indarri Falls and Escarpment Walk, each providing spectacular views of the gorge and rugged terrain. Camping at the Lawn Hill Campground is a treat, with essential amenities and a price tag of about $6.00 per person per night. 

Just a heads-up though,  reaching Lawn Hill involves a bumpy dirt road that’s best tackled with a 4WD. While I’ve seen a few braver souls in 2WDs, I personally wasn't confident enough to do it on my lap. I'm sure the rugged drive adds to the adventure though if you're brave enough.
