Jardín de l’Albarda is one of those places I love to escape to when I want calm, natural beauty close by. Just 10 minutes from Dénia and about 15 from Jávea, this 50,000m² garden feels like stepping into a living painting of the Mediterranean. It’s full of over 700 native plant species, many of them drought-tolerant and laid out in a mix of formal garden spaces, wild woodland areas, shady pergolas, fountains and elegant water features. The design has strong Renaissance and Arabic influences, symmetry, water channels, a beautiful villa and traditional architectural touches that give it elegance without feeling too rigid. Paths are gentle and many are wheel-chair friendly, so you can enjoy the views even if long walks aren’t your thing.

It’s open daily from morning and in summer also evenings, so you can time your visit for golden light or a peaceful sunset stroll.
