I recommend the Crete travel guide by Loic & Stephanie with all my heart!
We first visited Crete 3 years ago on a 10-day all-inclusive package tour in Platanias. We fell in love with the island and knew we wanted to come back, but this time with a personalized itinerary.
We decided to spend 1 week in Platanias and 1 week in Paleochora, but got a little lost trying to figure out the details. I had been following their Instagram account and knew they actually visit and handpick the places they recommend, so I decided to ask them to create a custom itinerary for us.
Based on our interests and what was convenient for us, they created a wonderful, detailed itinerary filled with local hidden gems for beaches and restaurants. They were also incredibly helpful with advice on day trips and driving around Crete.
We came home with our souls fully recharged, and a big part of that is thanks to them.
