Daku Island is one of the three main islands included in Siargao’s popular Tri-Island Hopping Tour (alongside Guyam and Naked Island), and it’s often considered the highlight of the trip.
🌴 What Makes Daku Island Special
Size & Name: “Daku” means big in the local dialect, and true to its name, it’s the largest among the three.
Beachscape: Wide stretch of powdery white sand, lined with coconut trees—perfect for lounging, swimming, or beach games.
Local Vibe: Unlike Naked Island (bare sandbar) or Guyam (tiny and cozy), Daku has a small fishing community. You’ll see traditional boats and locals going about their day.
Food Experience: It’s famous for island feasts. Visitors often enjoy fresh seafood, grilled meats, and tropical fruits prepared by locals. Many tours include a communal lunch here.
Activities:
Swimming in calm turquoise waters
Renting cottages for shade and relaxation
Playing volleyball or frisbee on the wide beach
