Hamilton's Seat is a stunning spot along the Causeway Cliff Walk, offering some of the best views on the trail. Perched high on the cliffs, this seat was built in honour of the 18th-century landowner, Sir James Hamilton, who helped establish the nearby estate and surrounding land. It’s a perfect resting point along the walk, giving you a chance to catch your breath while taking in sweeping views of the coastline, the Giant’s Causeway, and out to the Atlantic.
The spot itself is a great place to sit and soak up the beauty of the landscape, the crashing waves below, the rugged cliffs, and the expansive views of the coastline stretching out before you. It’s one of those peaceful, almost surreal moments on the Causeway Cliff Walk that makes you feel completely connected to the natural beauty of the North of Ireland.
Note: The seat is about halfway along the cliff path, so it’s a great place to pause before heading towards the famous Giant's Causeway or continuing along the scenic route.
