Elie Ness Lighthouse, located on the North coast of the Firth of Forth, was built in the early 20th century to assist mariners navigating the waters between the Isle of May and Inchkeith. Initially powered by acetylene gas, it was later converted to mains electricity in 1959. Over the years, the light has provided essential guidance to sailors and underwent modernization in 2010 before being taken over by Forth Ports in 2013 for maintenance and operation.
