Historic railway bridge in Scotland

消息来自 Kieran - Exploring Scotland

The Leaderfoot Viaduct, also known as the Drygrange Viaduct, is a cool old railway bridge that crosses the River Tweed near Melrose in the Scottish Borders. It was built back in 1863 to carry the Berwickshire Railway, connecting Reston with St Boswells. The viaduct stands tall at 126 feet above the river valley floor and has some pretty neat brick arches. Despite being close to a Roman settlement and having a cameo in an Indiana Jones film, the viaduct almost got demolished in the '80s but was saved and renovated in the '90s. Now it's all spiffy and historic, just chilling there looking awesome.
