Craigmillar Castle, located in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a medieval ruin with a rich history dating back to the 14th century. Originally built by the Preston family, it later became associated with Mary, Queen of Scots. The castle's central tower house, surrounded by a 15th-century courtyard wall, showcases impressive defensive features. Over the years, it passed through different owners until falling into ruin in the 18th century. Despite its dilapidated state, Craigmillar Castle remains a popular tourist attraction and is now under the care of Historic Environment Scotland.
