ATV/Quad biking is a great way to explore the raw black sandy beaches on the south coast.

The adventure begins at Icelandic Mountain Guide's main base on the South Coast where you'll gear up and get to know the ATV’s/Quad’s. After going through the safety instructions you'll start the drive, through small rivers and streams, to the sandy beach. After a fun ride on the black beach, stop at the famous DC3 plane wreck to adore the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier and all the way to Dyrhólaey. Continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of Mt. Heiðarhorn. Then head back to the base alongside the mountains.

Please note:

• All drivers must have a valid driving license and a minimum age of 17 years. Note that a license for driving a light motorcycle or a tractor is not sufficient.

• Single rider fees on the ATV is mandatory for groups of odd numbers or solo travelers - paid on arrival at base
