You can purchase Bear spray from an array of outdoor stores or even Walmart. If you are hiring a van check their inclusions as the van I hired had bear spray included.

Here is a option that you can order from Walmart

• Keep it readily accessible, not in your pack Use it only if a bear charges within about 30–60 feet.

Other options to deter wildlife.

• Talk, clap, or call out as you walk on trails.

• Hike with 3 or more people as bears are less likely to approach larger groups.

• Avoid hiking at dawn, dusk, or at night, bears are more active then.

• Use bear proof storage for your food and don't leave scraps or trash.

• Stay Calm, Back away slowly, do not RUN.
