One of the most spectacular and easily accessible waterfalls in the North Island and one that's often overlooked because people come to Waitomo for the caves and don't realise this is just 30 minutes down the road!
A short 20-minute return walk through beautiful native tawa and nikau forest brings you to a viewing platform looking out over the dramatic 35-metre falls. It's an easy walk suitable for all fitness levels though wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy.
