A local told us to come check this place out when we were visited the local waterfall. What a cute hidden little gem! We stopped in to meet the farm animals, the owner was lovely and showed us around.

Seems like a really good place to camp out. Close to lots of activities in this area.

'The best place we have camped... we absolutely love it here! A short stroll to the beautiful clean creek. A 2 minute drive to little Huia. Safe as houses for the kids. Fully fenced section to camp on. Cows, chickens, roosters and pigs for the kids to visit. Well maintained and looked after. No showers, eco longdrop toilet. Just how camping should be. The very basics. We have camped here a couple of times and will be back at least once a year. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!'

Directions and access

From Titirangi, drive on Huia Road for 15km passing Huia settlement and Huia Fire Station along the way. A sign post indicating Barn Paddock Campground will mark the entrance to the gravel access road on your right.

Main park gates are open from 6am to 9pm during daylight savings hours and 6am to 7pm during non-daylight saving hours. You will need a combination code to open the locked access gate - we will send you the combination code with your booking confirmation.

The campground is located 300m up the gravel access road in the large paddock opposite the Karamatura Heritage Farm. Adults $10. Kids $4.50
