A cool pool to visit.
Call ahead before visiting to make sure they're open as it seems they have had some issues lately with pool pumps (Aug '24)
The Parnell Baths in Auckland, New Zealand, are a cool spot with the biggest saltwater swimming pool in the country. Built in 1914, these historic pools used to fill up with seawater from the Waitematā Harbour. They got a fancy makeover in the 1950s, turning into a Lido-style hangout thanks to architect Tibor Donner. Over the years, they added stuff like a springboard and a children's pool. Even though they faced some challenges with water quality, the baths have been a popular spot for a dip and a splash for over a century.
