Take a short family-friendly hike to the historic site of the old Stateline Fire Lookout and enjoy spectacular views of Lake Tahoe. Starting near Crystal Bay, this gorgeous two-mile trail crosses the California/Nevada state line and takes hikers up to the site of the historic lookout built in 1936. Here, visitors will be rewarded with 270-degree views of the lake. Along the way, look for placards containing information about the history of the old fire lookout location.

The moderately steep but short 1.7 out and back hike is family friendly. It is more of an old gravel road than a trail. Easy hike, stunning views of Lake Tahoe, sounds like a win-win.
