This is a lesser-visited spot, largely away from any other tourists. It’s a charming canalside market, with some cute cafes and local eateries alongside traditional shophouses on the canal. There are a few art galleries and craft workshops too.
It’s gained a bit in popularity recently, as you can now go kayaking with cats along the canal. The owner of a local guesthouse started taking his cats on boat rides, and when they started to enjoy it, he invited people to join him on the trips. It’s fairly inexpensive and you can book by messaging them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HuatakheCat
