🏺 Before exploring the tombs, it’s worth understanding how a visit to the Valley of the Kings works.
The site is much larger than many visitors expect, with dozens of royal tombs spread across the valley. Most visitors spend between 2 and 3 hours here, depending on how many tombs they choose to visit and how much time they spend inside each one.
🎟️ Standard Ticket
The standard ticket includes access to a selection of nr. 3 tombs within the Valley of the Kings. The specific tombs available can change over time, so always check the latest information at the entrance.
🚂 The shuttle train from the Visitor Centre to the tomb area is also included.
⭐ Additional Ticket Tombs
Some of the valley’s most famous tombs require a separate ticket and are not included in the standard admission. Notable examples include the Tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62), the Tomb of Seti I (KV17), and the Tomb of Ramses V & VI (KV9).
⏱️ Recommended Visit Time: 2–3 hours.
💡 Traveller Addicted Tip: Don’t try to visit every tomb. Instead, choose a few of the most interesting ones and take your time to appreciate the artwork, colours, and details that make each tomb unique.
📖 Consider a Local Guide: If you’re interested in learning more about the history, symbolism, and stories depicted on the walls, a local guide can greatly enrich your visit.
