The Dark Hedges in Northern Ireland is a famous avenue lined with 150 beech trees that has attracted photographers, painters, and even Game of Thrones fans. Originally planted in the 18th century to impress visitors to Gracehill House, the trees now create a stunning natural tunnel along Bregagh Road.
The road is closed to traffic, so you'll have to park at the nearby Hedges Hotel or at a small car park on the opposite side and take a short walk to see this iconic spot.
I stopped here during my drive from Dublin to the Causeway Coastal Route. It was a nice place to stop, stretch my legs and grab some photos.
However, I wouldn't consider this a must-see unless you're a photographer or die hard Game of Thrones Fan. Many visitors are a bit underwhelmed with the overall experience here. Feel free to skip over this spot if you're short on time.
