High Rock Lookout easily had the best 360° views I've seen on a hike in Washington. The trail itself is fairly short but steep, making it one of those hikes where the payoff feels completely worth the effort.
The very last section near the top gets a little more challenging, with some rocky scrambling and exposure, so if you're a bit clumsy like me, just take your time and watch your footing. Once you make it up, you're rewarded with incredible views in every direction, and on a clear day, Mount Rainier feels close enough to touch.
The old fire lookout sitting dramatically on the edge of the cliff makes the whole place feel even more special. We ended up hanging out at the top for quite a while because the views were just that good.
