Sheikh Zayed Road is like the main vein of Dubai, running parallel to the coastline and connecting the city with Abu Dhabi. It's a bustling highway lined with skyscrapers, including the famous Emirates Towers, and it's where you'll find most of Dubai's iconic landmarks like the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina. The road used to be called Defence Road until it got a fancy upgrade and was named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former president of the UAE. Plus, it's got the Red Line of the Dubai Metro cruising alongside it, making it a key artery for getting around the city.
