Vibe: A chill, budget-friendly, beachfront hotel on Wailoaloa.

What it’s really like:

Sailors Beach is a small hotel at the end of a line of beachfront accommodations; because of this, I find it to be quieter than the others.

They have a range of rooms, all simple and clean, with my favourite being the top beachfront room with 180-degree views (I think it's Rm 15 from memory).

There is no elevator, and some rooms are upstairs and outside.

The outdoor part of the restaurant and bar has been upgraded and is much more comfortable. Some nights they have live music outside. It's also a great place for a sunset selfie.
