This restaurant, located near the trailhead to Naena Falls in Myoko, offers a unique dining experience with bamboo flowing somen (nagashi somen). Set against a picturesque backdrop, the somen is served using cold mountain spring water, giving the noodles a firm texture and refreshing taste. You can enjoy their meal while surrounded by the invigorating natural atmosphere.

About:

Naena Falls, also known as "Earthquake Waterfall," is a stunning natural attraction in Myoko, Niigata Prefecture. With its 55-meter high basalt cliff and the thunderous sound of water crashing down, it's a sight to behold. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the paved trail to the falls, where they can also try the local specialty of nagashi-somen noodles served in a unique way. In the summer, it's a popular spot for wading or swimming near the falls, but be cautious of the currents.

Hours of Operation:

  • Season: Late April to mid-November

  • Hours: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM

  • Closed: Tuesdays
