The Bayern-Ticket is a one-day travel ticket that allows unlimited travel on regional transport within Bavaria.

It is ideal for tourists, families, and groups who want to explore the region economically.

Since the Romantic Road is largely located in Bavaria, especially the southern towns, it is the ideal transport ticket if you plan to use the train on your trip.

Schedules

The ticket is available in two versions:

- Bayern-Ticket (daytime): valid from 9:00 AM to 3:00 AM the following day, Monday to Friday; and from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM the following day, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

- Bayern-Ticket Nacht (nighttime): valid from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day, Sunday to Thursday; and from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following day, on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays.

Prices

The price of the Bayern-Ticket varies according to the number of passengers:

- 1 person: €32 (daytime) / €30 (nighttime)

- 2 people: €42 (daytime) / €37 (nighttime)

- 3 people: €52 (daytime) / €44 (nighttime)

- 4 people: €62 (daytime) / €51 (nighttime)

- 5 people: €72 (daytime) / €58 (nighttime)

Each additional ticket costs €10 per person. Children up to 5 years old travel free. Up to three children aged 6 to 14 can travel free with one Bayern-Ticket. From four children aged 6 to 14, an additional ticket must be purchased.

Validity

The Bayern-Ticket is valid on:

- Regional trains operated by Deutsche Bahn (RE, RB, S-Bahn) and other regional operators.

- Trains operated by Bayerische Regiobahn, agilis, and Go-Ahead Bayern.

- Buses and trams within Bavarian transport associations.

- Some regional trains in Austria, such as between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Innsbruck.

It is not valid on long-distance trains such as ICE, IC, EC, RJ, RJX, ECE, or WB.

The Bayern-Ticket covers all of Bavaria, including cities such as Munich, Nuremberg, Augsburg, Regensburg, Füssen, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Additionally, it allows travel to Salzburg, Austria, and some regions of Austria, such as Innsbruck, when using specific regional trains.

You can purchase the Bayern-Ticket:

- At Deutsche Bahn ticket counters and ticket machines.

- Online through the official Deutsche Bahn website.

For groups of 2 to 5 people, the Bayern-Ticket offers excellent value for money.

If you plan to travel overnight, consider the Bayern-Ticket Nacht.
