🇬🇧 THE site to visit in Egypt of course. I no longer present the pyramids to you, but I do have some valuable advice that I would have liked someone to give me before going there:

• the price of the entrance ticket for the pyramids like almost all other sites and temples in Egypt is 200 Egyptian pounds / around USD10 (price at the end of 2020 but it keeps increasing) but much cheaper if you have a North African passport in your possession, as is the case in Jordan for example. If you have dual nationality and you don't have your North African passport with you, a photocopy or photo is supposed to suffice but as in Egypt it often depends on the mood of the person you meet, try to plan anyway to take your passport with you before

• any exit from the area is final even if you have a daily entry ticket, so you cannot take a break at the hotel or eat outside for example (except at the 9 Pyramids Lounge which is inside the site)

• an additional and more expensive ticket is necessary to enter inside the pyramids, it is only available at the main entrance (near the Cheops pyramid)

• as a tourist, expect to be particularly solicited by sellers and others, they are known to be very insistent and have free access to the site. As with the rest of Egypt, all you have to do is politely but firmly decline and you'll be fine :)

🇫🇷 LE site à visiter en Egypte bien sûr. Je ne vous présente plus les pyramides mais j’ai par contre des conseils précieux que j’aurais aimé qu’on me donne avant d’y aller :

• le prix du billet d’entrée pour les pyramides comme à peu près tous les autres sites et temples d’Egypte est de 200 livres égyptiennes / environ 10€ (prix en fin 2020 mais il ne cesse d’augmenter) mais beaucoup moins cher si vous avez un passeport maghrébin en votre possession, comme c’est le cas en Jordanie par exemple. Si vous avez la double nationalité et que vous n’avez pas votre passeport maghrébin sur vous, une photocopie ou une photo est censé suffire mais comme en Egypte ça dépend souvent de l’humeur de la personne sur laquelle on tombe essayer quand même de prévoir votre passeport avant

• toute sortie de la zone est définitive même si vous avez un billet d’entrée du jour, donc vous ne pouvez pas aller faire une pause à l’hôtel ou aller manger par exemple (hormis au 9 Pyramids Lounge qui se trouve à l’intérieur du site)

• un ticket supplémentaire et plus cher est nécessaire pour rentrer à l’intérieur des pyramides, il n’est disponible qu’à l’entrée principale (près de la pyramide de Khéops)

• en tant que touriste, attendez vous à être particulièrement sollicité par les vendeurs et autres, ils sont connus pour être très insistants et ont libre accès au site. Comme pour le reste de l’Egypte, il vous suffit de refuser poliment mais fermement et tout se passera bien :)
