Oyster Stacks in Ningaloo Reef is hands down one of the most stunning snorkelling spots you’ll ever visit. It’s perfect for snorkelers of all skill levels, especially beginners, because the water is nice and shallow, so you can take your time without feeling overwhelmed. Just keep an eye on the tides – you’ll want to visit at high tide when there’s enough water over the coral to protect it and make it safe to float above.

The sea life here is unreal – think colourful coral gardens, schools of vibrant fish, and maybe even a turtle or two cruising by if you’re lucky. It’s like jumping into a giant aquarium, no joke. The visibility is usually crystal clear, so you’ll have no trouble spotting all the underwater wonders.

A couple of tips: wear reef-safe sunscreen and bring thongs for navigating the rocky entry points. There’s no shade around, so a hat and plenty of water are a must. And try to visit on a calm day, as wind will impact the visibility!

It’s part of Cape Range National Park, so you’ll need a park pass, but trust me, it’s worth every cent. Pack your snorkel gear, and get ready to be wowed – Oyster Stacks is pure magic.
