I recently stayed at Hótel Sandafell in Thingeyri and it was a fantastic experience. The rooms are spacious and have a seating area, TV and free Wi-Fi. The location is great, just a short 3-minute walk to the public swimming pool and close to popular hiking and fishing spots. The in-house restaurant serves delicious breakfast and dinner, and the staff were all friendly and accommodating.
