The Pinnacles Desert is one of Western Australia’s most other-worldly landscapes. Located inside Nambung National Park near the coast town of Cervantes, it features thousands of weathered limestone spires (some over 3-5 metres tall) rising out of golden sand dunes.

You can drive or walk through a 4–5 km loop trail, or take shorter walks to lookouts. The Pinnacles look especially dramatic at sunrise or sunset, when shadows stretch long and light brings out colour contrasts in the stone and sand.

There is a $17 fee per vehicle for entry into the national park.
