Katnosdammen is a former dam keeper's cabin, ideally located at Katnosa lake. It is part of the Spålen-Katnosa nature reserve, providing amazing natural experiences and hikes, right up to Oslos highest peak, Kjerkeberget, 631 moh. Members of the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) can book the 14 beds in 3 separate bedrooms in advance as the property is unattended and opened with DNTs standard key. Canoes are available for day trips on Katnosa, including 2 oars, 2 life jackets for adults, 2 life jackets for children/youth. As there is no electricity, firewood is available only to be used for the stoves, meals must be prepared with the gas burner and washed by hand. The perfect getaway destination provides everything needed for a traditional holiday experience without forgetting modern comfort.
