Nidelven Blå, a semi-solid blue mould cheese crafted from pasteurized cows’ milk produced by Norwegian cheesemaker Gangstad Gårdsysteri, has been crowned the world's best cheese at the 35th World Cheese Awards held in Trondheim. Judges were lavish in their praise for the cheese, noting its short creaminess and balanced taste profile with wine-like characteristics. This marks Norway's third victory at the awards, and a special win considering this year's event marked record-breaking participation from 43 countries and 293 types of Norwegian cheese. A truly triumphant moment for both Gangstad Gårdsysteri and the nation of Norway!
