Chimney Beach sits on the east shore of Lake Tahoe, just south of Sand Harbor along Highway 28. It’s named after the old stone chimney on the sand, a leftover from a former caretaker’s cabin. The beach is a short hike down from the parking lot (Secret Harbor Parking Lot on Google Maps) and is known for its clear water, big boulders, and quieter vibe compared to Sand Harbor. It’s also a great spot for paddleboarding or kayaking thanks to the calm, shallow shoreline and wide-open views of the lake.
