Tucked away in the backstreets of Osaka’s Namba district, this shrine is one of the city’s coolest hidden gems.
The main attraction? A massive lion head stage towering over the courtyard. It’s said to swallow evil spirits and bring good luck, especially for success in work or school.
Despite being in the middle of the city, it’s usually quiet, which makes it a great little escape from the busy streets of Dotonbori or Shinsaibashi. You don’t need long here, but it’s definitely worth a stop if you're nearby.
