Where to Stay:

With options ranging from Kotor and Perast to Herceg Novi and Budva, finding accommodation in Montenegro is a breeze. During my visits, I opted to stay in Kotor for its convenience and accessibility to activities. Whether in the heart of the old town or a short walk away, the apartments I stayed in offered comfort and hospitality.

There’s quite a variety of options between Kotor, Perast, Herceg Novi and Budva. Yet, during both trips, I stayed in Kotor as it felt more convenient and accessible to more activities. And both times, I went for an apartment to stay in. One was at the heart of the old town and the other was a little further, with a 15 minutes walk, which I didn't mind as I got to enjoy a little stroll by the sea every day; and also the hosts were so kind and friendly. That’s something to keep count of when in Kotor as well.

Culinary Delights:

Whether you fancy seafood, a slice of pizza, a traditional cuisine, wine, aperitifs, or even some gelato to soothe your cravings, it’s a jackpot. And it’s all accessible within the old towns and right around the corner, outside the city walls, and by the promenades where a line of restaurants and bars lie with quite the offerings.

Montenegro is more than just a destination; it's a sweet summer escape that promises adventure, magnetism, and unforgettable memories. So pack up and go uncover the magic of Montenegro for yourself.

Tours:

You Can Visit Lovcen National Park on a Day Trip from Kotor or Budva.

Personally, I took a full-day guided tour from Kotor that allowed me to enjoy the beautiful nature of Montenegro, including Lovćen, Lake Skadar, the old capital of Cetinje, the 'horse-shoe' viewpoint and the serpentine road overlooking Kotor Bay. It's called The Great Montenegro Tour, and it was exhilarating.
