Crystal Lake Recreation Area sits high in the San Gabriel Mountains above Azusa, California, and is one of the few naturally occurring lakes in Southern California. The area includes hiking trails, a campground, and the small Crystal Lake Café overlooking the lake.
Although the location shares its name with the fictional setting of the Friday the 13th films, the original movie was filmed elsewhere. The name has nevertheless made the site a fun point of interest for horror fans visiting Southern California.
