The Giessbach Falls located in the country side of St Gallen and it is truly a hidden gem.

I started this trail at Wilen bei Wil, Glärnischstr. bus stop. From here I followed the sign Weg Wil towards Giessenfall. The trail is easy, leads you thru farms and forest. There are benches along the way to rest. The forest area is so beautiful, they built wooden bridges along the way places for barbecueing.

Once you reach the waterfall stop for a break and enjoy the huge waterfall. There is a pool by its base but it is not suitable for swimming.

From the fall you can either take the same way back or continue on the right side up the stairs towards the top of the falls. On the top you can find another spot for barbecuing. From here I followed the sign towards Wolfikon where I finished the trail at Wolfikon SG, Engel bus stop.

The train was 7,44km with 302m elevation gain. It took me approximately 1,5 hours to complete. Perfect hike for rainy days.
