Perched atop Tin Hat Mountain, this cozy, winterized cabin offers what are arguably the most spectacular 360-degree views on the entire Sunshine Coast Trail. As the halfway point of the trail, it’s a welcome sight for weary hikers, providing a warm place to rest with its pellet stove. The shortest route to this incredible viewpoint is a steep but rewarding 5 km (approximately 1.5 to 2-hour) hike from the nearest logging road access point. The hut operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is free to use, though you'll want to pack in all your supplies, including water.
