Red Castle, located on the coast of Angus, Scotland, is a cool old ruined fortified house that was built in the late twelfth century to fend off Viking invasions at Lunan Bay. It has a bit of a dramatic history, including a siege by James Gray and some gold crowns landing nearby to support the Catholic cause. The castle is now in ruins, with only parts of the tower and walls remaining, but it still offers a picturesque view overlooking the North Sea. So, if you're ever driving along the A92 road or taking the train from Edinburgh to Aberdeen, keep an eye out for this historic spot!
