St Salvator's Hall, affectionately known as Sallies, is a student residence at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Built between 1930 and 1933 with funding from American philanthropist Edward Harkness, this Gothic-style dormitory houses 196 students in single and shared rooms. It features oak-panelled common areas, a library, study rooms, and a basement with recreational facilities. Known for its prestigious reputation, the hall hosts formal dinners, weekly events, and annual celebrations like Freshers' Week and the May Dip. Notable alumni include Nobel laureate Sir James W. Black and even Prince William and Catherine, who lived there during their first year at university.
