Japan: SIM Card and WIFI

Another option that I've used and can recommend for solid coverage in the mountains in Mobal which can also be purchased at airports on arrival to Japan.

There are a bunch of providers out there all offering something similar and my recommendation comes from my positive experience using the SIM, eSIM, and Wifi products.
