Nanga Parbat, also known as the "naked mountain," is a towering beast of a peak in the western Himalayas, standing at a whopping 26,660 feet high. This bad boy is no joke, with a steep south wall that shoots up nearly 15,000 feet above the valley below. It's seen its fair share of tragedy, with numerous climbers meeting their end on its treacherous slopes. But hey, Austrian climber Hermann Buhl finally conquered it in 1953, so props to him for showing Nanga Parbat who's boss.
