Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese is a Grade II listed public house in the City of London that has been built, re-built and enjoyed by many since 1538. It is known for its literary associations with regular visitors such as Charles Dickens, G. K. Chesterton and Mark Twain. Inside you will find multiple bars and dark rooms, from which wall plaques of famous patrons are hung. There are also tile pieces which indicate that the pub may have been used as a brothel during the 18th century! Its current proud owners are Samuel Smith's Brewery who intend to keep the beloved pub alive for years to come.
