The telephone number 1777 is used to get information about road and weather conditions and is available from 6:30 to 22:00 every day, year-round. Especially useful in winter or when traveling to highlands (f-roads)

– Call or text for urgent help anywhere in Iceland.
Healthcare Assistance (non-emergency):
– Call 1700 (or +354 544 4113 from a foreign number) to speak with a healthcare professional.
💡 Tip: Always check the road and weather forecast before you head out, especially in winter. I personally check once in the evening when making plans for upcoming day and then again in the morning before heading out to see if there's been any updates.
