One of the most mindblowingly beautiful experiences is to ride in a zodiac boat that zips around gigantic icebergs floating in the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. I thoroughly loved this experience and have been fortunate to do it twice in my life.

I have witnessed icebergs turning over in the water, which is an unbelievably cool thing to see. If you think the color, shape, and size of the icebergs are cool to see while on the shore, they are even more amazing from the boat because you get different perspectives and a much better idea of just how massive the icebergs are.

The boat takes you as close as possible to Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, which is where the icebergs are breaking off from and floating in the lagoon.

While it is not guaranteed, you are more likely to see seals in the water while in riding in a boat because the drivers are looking out for them.
