Signal Hill, also known as Lion's Rump, is a cool hill in Cape Town that sits next to Lion's Head and Table Mountain. It kinda looks like a lion sphinx, which is pretty rad. One of the coolest things about Signal Hill is the Noon Gun, operated by the South African Navy and South African Astronomical Observatory. They used to use signal flags to communicate with ships in the bay, but now they just shoot off a cannon at noon. How awesome is that? You can also drive up to the summit and get killer views of the city and the ocean. Plus, there are some tombs for Muslim religious leaders, and you might even spot some endangered vegetation.
