Escape the highway noise at this quiet little gem just outside of Jasper National Park.
The campground sits in a peaceful setting near the mountains with spacious campsites and beautiful views of Wildhorse Lake, making it a perfect spot for a quiet morning of fishing or paddling.
You’ll also find a few informal trails for hiking and mountain biking right from the campground, with the Rockies creating a stunning backdrop all around.
We actually stayed here so we could start very early in the morning to canoe all the way to Spirit Island on Maligne Lake, which made for an unforgettable start to the day. Just be prepared for a slightly bumpy 4-kilometre gravel road leading to the campground — but the quiet setting and beautiful scenery make it well worth the drive.
They provide Wood which is huge :)
