Okadera, also known as Ryūgai-ji, is a cool Buddhist temple in Nara Prefecture, Japan. Founded by Priest Gien in the 7th century, it's the 7th stop on the Kansai Kannon Pilgrimage. The temple boasts Japan's largest clay image, a Nyoirin Kannon from the 8th century, and the statue of Gien is a national treasure. You can reach Okadera by train or car, but be prepared for a bit of a hike from the nearest stations. It's definitely worth checking out if you're into history and beautiful temples!
