The Otaru Music Box Museum's iconic, huge steam clock is a marvel nestled among the quaint streets of Otaru. Standing 5.5 meters high and with its distinguished bronze exterior, it is the world’s largest steam clock - having been engineered by raymond Sanders, the maker of the first steam clock ever constructed. Every 15 minutes, its five steam whistles emit a soothing melody, further setting the tone for a magical journey through the museum. As if that wasn't enough, puffs of steam shoot out into the air from the clock intermittently, making it an even more eye-catching sight. The lighting of the Otaru Orgel Doh building at night grandfathers the glory of this mechanical beauty.
