Batu Caves
Sacred Hindu caves with giant statue

文化

Batu Caves is one of Malaysia’s most famous cultural and religious sites, located just north of Kuala Lumpur. The complex features a towering golden statue of Lord Murugan and a steep flight of colorful steps leading up to a series of limestone caves filled with Hindu shrines. Inside, you’ll find a mix of natural rock formations and vibrant temple art that create a striking atmosphere.

It’s free to enter the main cave, though some smaller sections may charge a small fee. The area can get busy, especially during the Thaipusam festival, so it’s best to visit early in the morning to avoid crowds and the midday heat.

The caves are easily accessible by public transport, but if you prefer a half-day tour, we have linked it here.
