Grímsey is a tiny Icelandic island sitting right on the Arctic Circle, about 40 kilometers off the main coast of Iceland. It's known for its puffins and other sea birds that come to breed there. With just one settlement called Sandvík, Grímsey is home to around 57 people and can be reached by ferry or air. The climate is surprisingly mild thanks to the North Atlantic Current, making it a unique spot to visit in Iceland. Plus, it's the northernmost inhabited place in the country, so you can brag about stepping foot on the Arctic Circle!
