Stampar, located on the western side of Reykjanes Peninsula, is a series of craters formed by two volcanic fissures. The older crater series dates back 1,800 to 2,000 years, while the younger ones were created during the Reykjanes Fires in 1210–1240. These craters are not super flashy but still pretty cool to check out. You can even hike up to one of them, just be mindful of the fragile surroundings. Stampar is a neat spot for a little volcanic adventure on your Reykjanes exploration!
