This is without a doubt one of my favorite beaches in Sydney! Freshwater has everything I want for a good beach day: a good parking lot, a wide, sandy beach that gives plenty of room for everyone, and a swim-friendly ocean. Freshwater is located just north of Manly Beach and is probably easiest to get to by car or bus. It has a few beachfront cafes and restaurants, but it would be more ideal for an early morning swim, then head to another location for more dining options. Or bring a picnic and spend the whole day enjoying a true Aussie beach.
